The Ease of Gaining Financial Independence
Cache Valley Area Investors Association is reaching out to help
LOGAN, Utah – Cache Valley Area Investors Association, a local non-profit organization is reaching out to the community to achieve financial independence. “Everybody can be financially independent in a short amount of time. Most just don’t know how to do it,” Preston Parker said. Parker, president and founder of CVAIA, started this association to enhance the goals of himself and others.
If people learn the right mentality and approaches to investing, they can all be successful in what they desire. People should be able to spend their time doing something they love, not just as job that provides an income. Passive Income largely makes this possible. CVAIA teaches people how to increase passive income. CVAIA embraces the three things that all people can invest: time, assets and experience.

With a listed amount of 80 members and a Facebook group, CVAIA has found their members achieve independence between three to fifteen years. Parker said, “You want to invest in income that requires no thought. With planning and a lot of education, it can happen.”
They practice the methods found in the ideologies of books including: Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Wealthy Barber, The Millionaire Next Door, Atlas Shrugged, the Automatic Millionaire and The Secret. CVAIA began in August 2007 and now has members from many geographical locations and from all walks of life. The members come together with the same belief: that education mitigates the risks of investing. They meet every other Thursday in the Logan City Chamber of Commerce at 7 p.m. Their meetings are open for everyone.

ReplyDeleteI can't beleive how much you got done in 15 minutes,I must be way slow. I think your first headline needs to be reworked. It dosn't feel complete to me.
ReplyDeleteAlso in your second paragraph, I think you need to attribute the info to the organization. I don't really mean through a said Parker in. More, the key prinples of the organiztion are... or philosphies of the org... what ever.
The sentence talking about doing what they love... I feel it would make more sence if you said, people should be able to spend thier time at a job they love... that would tie the first and second parts together more.
Hope these help, sorry if I am in left field with any of these thoughts.
So I usually do this when I am talking, not writing. I completely put my foot in my mouth with the comment I left on your press release. I didn't even relazie that your second paragraph was part of the boiler plate he gave to us. I read mine and wondered why the hell did I write the same thing as josh. Sorry, you may tear apart anything I write from hear out with no hard feelings I PROMISE!!!!! Man I feel stupid.
ReplyDeleteI don't quite understand your first headline, it seems like the title of a book or something, what are you trying to say?
ReplyDeleteYour lead sounds like the organization is asking for donations from the community. Re-read it and you'll see what I mean.
After you write out the whole name of the organization do the acronym in parentheses instead of just starting to refer to it as CVAIA later on. (does that make sense?)
Three to fifteen years (change to AP style)
Ok I know I COMPLETELY picked it apart but you were saying you wanted a lot of feedback! :) Take my suggestions or not but there you go!
Good job. I hate critiquing other people's press releases because I feel that I really have no authority or expertise to do so. I liked both of your titles. Re-read your lead and revise it...it sounds like you are saying CVAIA is "reaching out to achieve financial independence"...you should say "Cache Valley Area Investors Association, a local non-profit organization, is reaching out to the community to help individuals achieve financial independence.
